Cover Inspiration

VOGUE

Firstly, although Vogue magazine isn't a music magazine I decided to look at it for insperation because I like how the covers are classy looking. Vogue is famous for its cover shoots and always make sure that they stick to the conventions of what makes a good cover and they always produce a simple but interesting magazine cover.

Although the styles of the covers change every week and range with a variety of different colours, fonts, photograph styles and peolple on the cover I like how the title always stays simple, the same size and the same font. This has helped the magazine to establish themselves so well and has lead to them being able to experiment with styles as they can have parts of the title covered.

UNDER THE RADAR

Secondly, I looked at a less known magazine Under the Radar. I chose to look at this because similarly to Vogue magazine, colours, fonts, sizes and images change on this magazine but the title stays the same font and size.

Again, they generally stick to the rule of three colours and colour pallets, three different fonts and this follows onto the images too.

Over all after looking at both of these magazines I think that although they are both very different from eachother, they generally follow the same rules for their covers and they both present very unique, individual and classy magazine covers and at the same time they are interesting.
