Questionnaire + Results

1. If you saw my magaizine on a shelf would in grab your attention? If so, why?
The majourity of answers were yes because it looks as if it is a young audience related magazine and the masthead font stands out because it is large and they font is quite bold. However, the answers which were no said that they wouldn't because it is not bright enough.
2. Do you like the colour scheme on my front cover? If not, what colours would you prefer?
Again, the majourity of the answers were yes. However the answers that were no said that they would prefer maybe a purple or orange. Both of the 'no' answers were from girls.
3. Do you think the front cover matches my genre?
All answers were yes.
4. Do you like the look of the models on the front cover? If not what would you change (e.g too one model)
Nobody said that they would change to one model, however someone did comment that the models don't look asif they are related to eachother on the front cover.
5. Do you think the contents page gives enough information?
The majourity of these answers were no.
6.Do you think the contents page looks as though it come from the same magazine as the front cover? If not, why?
All answers were yes.
7.Do you think the contents page needs more images?
Most of these answers were yes, because in real magazines the contents page rarely has space left.
8.Do you think the double page spread looks professional? If so why? If not, why?
Most of the ansers were yest but comments were that it could be improved. Also, the answer that was no said that the images at the bottom of the double page spread don't look professional.
9.Would you include more images on the Double page spread?
No was for most of the answers, however some suggested to change the layout.
10.Do you think the interview is interesting enough?
All asnwers were yes.
11.Do you think the double page spread matches the other two pages? If not, why?
Some answers were yes, however others said that it didn't match and it wa sprobably becasue of the white background or the sudden use of colour images, however these were used on the contents page too.
12.Do you like the fonts I have used for my magazine?
All answers were yes, however some commented on the contents magazine fonts saying these were the least favourite.
13.Do you think that overall they look professional?
Yes, but could be improved.
14.How much would you expect to pay for my magazine?
The answers ranged from £1.50 to £4
15.Do you think my magazine looks asthough it is a music magazine? If not, why?
All of the answers were yes.


From completeing this questionnaire and looking at the answers, it has helped me a lot with what I need to do to improve my draft covers. I think over all the contents page is what needs to most work/changing and the colour scheme needs looking at too.
